Tips from the pros
- Discord looks at the file as it is, before any compressing. We aim for 19MB to leave a little room.
- Fitting a video longer than 5 minutes into 19MB makes the picture quality drop a lot. Cut it down to the part you want to show and it stays clean.
- With Nitro Basic you can send up to 50MB. Switch it in the choice above.
Common questions
What is the Discord limit?
The official help page says 20MB for free accounts and 50MB for Nitro Basic (checked September 12, 2026).
Why aim for 19MB?
Right at 20MB, a tiny difference can stop the file from going through. We make it a little smaller.
Is the video sent to Discord for me?
No. This site only makes the video smaller. Post the finished file to Discord yourself.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. On iPhone use Safari 26 or newer, and on Android use Chrome.
My long video will not fit.
When it says the video will fit if you shorten it, use "Keep only the part you need" to cut it to that length, then try again.
