No watermark
Nothing is stamped onto your video, and there is no limit on how many you make.
Picture quality like the pros
We use the numbers people use in video work. If the picture quality is going to drop a lot, we tell you before you save.
How to use it
- Choose the video you want to shrink.
- The target size starts at 100 MB. Type a different number if you want another size.
- Check "What you will get" to compare the size before and after.
- Press the button to make the file and save it.
100MB is for handing over a long video that still looks good
- Microsoft Teams allows 100MB attached to a chat message (Microsoft’s official help, checked on September 12, 2026; sharing through the Files tab is a separate allowance).
- WhatsApp is described as 64MB to 100MB depending on the connection. To stay safe, use the WhatsApp page (64MB).
- On LINE chats, videos under about 100MB arrived as a “video” in our own test on September 12, 2026; larger ones were sent as a “file” from the desktop app. See when a video will not send on LINE.
How much video fits in 100MB
| Video length | Left for the picture (per second) | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| 30 seconds | About 26,500 kbps | Usually fits untouched |
| 1 minute | About 13,200 kbps | Keeps the original quality |
| 3 minutes | About 4,300 kbps | 1080p stays clean |
| 5 minutes | About 2,500 kbps | 1080p is the sweet spot |
| 10 minutes | About 1,200 kbps | 720p is the sweet spot |
Even a ten-minute video can stay at 720p, which suits recordings of meetings, ceremonies and performances that you want to hand over at full length.
Working with large files
- Your device does the work. A 4K video over ten minutes takes a while on a phone and can run out of memory. A computer is more reliable.
- How the file is saved changes what fits. Chrome and Edge let you choose where to save first and write straight there, so very large files work. Safari and Firefox build the file in the browser first (up to 1GB on phones, 2GB on computers).
- If your video is already under 100MB, send it as it is. Compressing only removes detail.
When 100MB is still not enough
- Trim to the scenes you need.
- Mute if the sound is not needed — about 9.6MB on a ten-minute video.
- Check whether another destination would be easier: see upload limits.

Tips from the pros
- 100 MB is the size to pick when you want to stay close to the original. Even five-minute videos usually still look fine.
- Fitting a long video into 100 MB costs a lot of quality. Trimming first keeps the part you care about looking better at the same size.
- If it will not fit, you will see how short it needs to be. Trim to that length and try again.
Common questions
Will it be exactly 100 MB?
It will not go over 100 MB. It usually lands a little under, and sometimes well under, depending on the video.
How much quality will I lose?
It depends on the length and size of the original. You can see the resulting size and frame rate before you start, and you are warned when quality would drop a lot.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. You can turn on airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
Does the sound stay?
Yes. If you do not need it, choose "Change the volume" and then "Mute" — that frees up room for the picture.
Can I use it as often as I like?
Yes. There is no limit on how many videos you make, no watermark, and no sign-up.
