How to use it

10MB is the “round number” limit
A 10MB limit usually comes from a slightly newer rule than 8MB.
- Contact forms and support desks. “Record what happens and send it (up to 10MB)” is a common request.
- School and workplace file sending. Many set a 10MB cap per file.
- Discord’s limit before August 2026. Free accounts can now send 20MB.
If you were told something larger is fine, 25MB will look clearly better for the same video.
How much video fits in 10MB
With 128kbps used for sound:

Up to a minute you can keep the quality; past three minutes it gets hard.
Sending a video to report a problem
10MB is often asked for when you need to show what went wrong on screen.
- Keep only the moment itself. Fifteen to thirty seconds is usually enough — trim it.
- Crop to the part that matters. Cropping to the area you are working in keeps small text readable.
- Mute it if the sound is not needed. Muting gives that space to the picture, and saves you from sending background conversation.
- Fix the orientation first with rotate if the video is sideways.
When it will not fit
SakuConvert tells you how short the video needs to be. Trimming to that length always works. If you cannot change the length, try in this order:
- Mute the sound (about 4.8MB freed on a five-minute video)
- Crop the frame
- Check the real limit again — it is often larger than 10MB

Tips from the pros
- 10 MB is a common size for sharing short clips. Up to about 30 seconds usually still looks good.
- Fitting a long video into 10 MB costs a lot of quality. Trimming first keeps the part you care about looking better at the same size.
- If it will not fit, you will see how short it needs to be. Trim to that length and try again.
Common questions
Will it be exactly 10 MB?
It will not go over 10 MB. It usually lands a little under, and sometimes well under, depending on the video.
How much quality will I lose?
It depends on the length and size of the original. You can see the resulting size and frame rate before you start, and you are warned when quality would drop a lot.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. You can turn on airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
Does the sound stay?
Yes. If you do not need it, choose "Change the volume" and then "Mute" — that frees up room for the picture.
Can I use it as often as I like?
Yes. There is no limit on how many videos you make, no watermark, and no sign-up.
