1. How your video, sound, and pictures are handled

Everything SakuConvert does - converting, compressing, cropping and the rest - happens entirely inside your browser. Neither the file you choose nor the file you save is ever sent to a server. The file name is not sent either.

The proof is that it still works after you open the page and turn on airplane mode (Why it is safe to use).

While a file is being made, it may be kept in a temporary place inside your browser (on your own device). It is deleted when you start over, make the next file, or open the page again. The operator cannot see it.

2. Information sent to outside services

This site uses the services below. SakuConvert’s video tools never send the contents of your video, sound, or pictures, or your file names, to any of them. File names are never put in page titles or URLs either.

Delivering the site (Cloudflare)

The site is delivered from Cloudflare Pages. Because of how delivery works, information about the connection (such as your IP address) may remain in Cloudflare’s own records, but the operator does not use it to identify individuals.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To learn how much the pages are viewed and whether they load quickly, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics.

• It does not use cookies or browser storage (such as localStorage).
• It does not tell individual people apart or follow them across other websites (according to Cloudflare).
• It collects things like the URL of the page you viewed, where you came from (the referrer), the type of browser and device, and how long the page took to show.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

To learn which pages are used and whether exports finish successfully, we use Google Analytics.

• The URL of the page you view, where you came from (the referrer), browser and device information, and your IP address are sent to Google. Google Analytics uses cookies.
• When you use a tool, only a fixed set of items is sent: the kind of tool (compress, audio, convert, edit), the kind of destination (such as Discord), a range for how long the export took, a range for the size of the original video (such as under 10MB), the output format (such as MP4), and the kind of error if something went wrong.
• The contents of your video, sound, or pictures, and your file names, are never sent.
• If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, cookies are not used until you give consent.
• To stop Google Analytics from recording your visits, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Ads (Google AdSense)

To pay for running the site, we show ads from Google AdSense (we will start showing them once Google’s review is finished).

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
• To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google’s consent management asks first whether advertising cookies may be used. If you do not agree, ads that do not use cookies to personalize them may still be shown.

Other apps (vMixCUE, WireDraft, and ClipCheck under /apps/)

The apps under /apps/ are separate from SakuConvert. The operator (MFP Inc.) made them for video production work, and they all run inside your browser.

• ClipCheck does not send the video it checks anywhere.
• vMixCUE and WireDraft check with MFP’s server (monster-fp.jp) for a new version when you open them. Only the information that comes with any connection (such as your IP address and browser type) is sent, not the contents of what you are making.
• vMixCUE talks only to the vMix you specify (a computer on the same network).
• Only when you create a “share link” in WireDraft are the contents of that diagram stored on MFP’s server, so that people who have the link can view it. If you do not create a share link, your diagram is not sent anywhere.

3. Disclosure of information sent to outside parties (Japan’s Telecommunications Business Act)

When you open this site, your device sends information to the following recipients.
